To Whom It May Concern:

The Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest is beginning the revision process for our forest plans. In October of this year, Chris was invited to speak to a diverse group of sixty opinion leaders from across Nevada. The topic of the seminar was Sustainable Community Development.

The seminar was well received by everyone that attended, and we will continue to have Chris work with Forest and local communities as we move through the forest plan revision process.

During the two-day seminar, Chris did an excellent job of explaining the relationships between local communities and the need for healthy ecosystems. Chris is one of those people who can take complex thoughts and philosophies and explain them in terms that everyone can comprehend. In this day and age of increased community involvement and necessary support, this skill is a standard for successful decision-making
