Dear Chris:

I would like to think you for your eloquent plenary keynote presentation. It concluded a successful conference that at least prodded along discussion of the urgency of the problems we are facing and the nature of the solutions that are needed. Your talk did a nice job of reinforcing some of Robert Theobald's points. Folks seemed to either love or hate both presentations—most appreciated having their thoughts provoked, even it they didn't agree completely with the substance. A few complained, "Why did you have to hit us twice? Once was enough!" Anyway, you set the tone for some good breakout discussions and people went away with plenty to think about.

Again, thank you for participating in the conference in a most effective way!

Sincerely,

Robert S. Turner
